Comments: This is another vase that is not my typical green, but rather has variations of the blue spectrum. The glaze at the top has a semi-matte indigo flowing drip striated glaze with the lower part of the vase glazed a matte mottled and speckled lilac and lavender/light blue combination. The angular trillium design I created uses five attached conventionalized design trillium flowers at a sharp 90 degree angle to the right of the attached stem. The angular design is echoed at the bottom of the vase with three conventionalized incised straight “leaves” angled out to the left of the stem. An unusual one of a kind towering over 11″ tall vase. The vase will go well with Arts & Crafts, Art Deco, eclectic, or contemporary designed homes.
Description: Tall vase with five applied flower and stems with incised “leaves” at the bottom of the stems. The design uses conventionalized and angular design for the flower, stem, and leaves. Glazed in variations of the blue spectrum resulting in semi-matte indigo drip/flowing glaze at the top and matte violet, lavender, or light blue glazing for the bottom part of the vessel.
