Steve’s Comments: After throwing this vase on the wheel I made the window cut outs at the top. Then transformed the basic round shape by carefully pushing in the sides creating a lobed gourd-like shape. The glazing further enhances the gourd look especially with the mottle green and grays flowing down the vase. This vase was a fun one to make and I love to grill patty-pan gourds!
