Steve’s Comments: The Odonata are flying insects that includes the dragonflies and damselflies. This vase has a classic Arts & Crafts form, tall and slighted collared in at the top with a distinctive conventionalized dragonfly decoration. My inspiration for the design was from Arthur Bagg’s designs from Alfred University and Marblehead Pottery in the early 1900’s. Mottled medium to dark blue semi-matte glaze with some white glaze speckling.
